THE SITUATION
An elderly couple found themselves stranded after a flat, only to discover they couldn't get the wheel off at all — the locking lug key was missing. They were also outside the area we normally cover.
WHAT HAPPENED
- Without the key, a standard socket won't touch a locking lug. The wheel simply doesn't come off.
- The job wasn't especially profitable, and it was beyond our normal coverage area. We could have said no.
- We chose to help anyway.
HOW REDNECK ROADSIDE TECH HELPED
- Safely removed the locking lug without damaging the wheel or the studs.
- Got the wheel off and completed the tire repair on site.
- Sent them on their way without charging for the extra effort it took to beat that lug.
THE OUTCOME
They made it home the same day. Because sometimes helping people matters more than the invoice.
