STUDENT ROADSIDE CARE PROGRAM

A dead battery in a campus lot at 11 PM shouldn't cost a student a week of grocery money. So we run a standing program for students in Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky: roadside assistance starting at $49 in our primary service area, and starting at $59 in extended student service areas. Show a valid student ID when we get there. That's it — no membership, no signup, no app.

STUDENT PRICING

Primary service area

Starting at $49

Cincinnati, Norwood, Oakley, Hyde Park, Clifton, Corryville, Covington, Newport and the neighborhoods close in around them.

Extended student service areas

Starting at $59

Farther out — Clermont County, Warren County edges, western Hamilton County and the Northern Kentucky suburbs.

Travel distance decides your price — not your school. We don't rank campuses. If the van has a longer run to reach you, that's the extended rate. You hear the exact number on the phone before we dispatch.

What the program covers

  • Jump starts and battery boosts
  • Lockouts
  • Flat tire changes onto your own spare
  • Fuel delivery (fuel itself is billed separately)
  • Air-up and pressure checks
  • Both prices are starting prices. Travel distance — not the school — decides which one applies.
  • Tire purchases, mounting, balancing and lock or lug extraction are quoted separately at our normal published rates.
  • You get your exact price on the phone before we dispatch, same as every other customer.
  • You get a clear quote before any work begins.
  • No hidden fees and no surprise invoices.

Normal pricing runs 7:00 AM – 6:59 PM. Emergency after-hours pricing runs 7:00 PM – 6:59 AM. We answer and dispatch 24 hours a day. Only the pricing window changes.

WHY WE RUN THIS PROGRAM

Most of us learned about cars the hard way — standing on a shoulder at night with no idea what a lug wrench does. Students are usually driving older vehicles, on tighter budgets, at worse hours, and they're the least likely to call for help because they're afraid of what it'll cost. That's exactly the person who ends up walking down a dark road instead.

So we set a lower starting price and we take the extra couple minutes to teach. Where the jack points are on your car. What the pressure number in your door jamb means. Why your spare needs air too. Call us, and you'll know more about your vehicle when we leave than when we showed up.

STUDENT PROGRAM — FAQ

The questions students and parents actually call and ask.

Who qualifies for the Student Roadside Care Program?

Any enrolled student with a valid student ID — high school, trade school, community college, university, graduate school or adult education. Show the ID to the technician when we arrive. That's the whole verification process.

How much is student roadside assistance in Cincinnati?

Roadside assistance starts at $49 inside our primary service area and starts at $59 in extended student service areas. Both are starting prices, and travel distance is what decides which one applies — not which school you go to.

Why does distance change student pricing?

Because the van has to get to you. A campus lot ten minutes from Norwood and a house forty-five minutes out aren't the same trip in fuel or time. We'd rather price the trip honestly than raise everybody's number to cover the long runs.

Does the student rate cover a new tire?

No. The program covers roadside services — jump starts, lockouts, flat changes onto your spare, fuel delivery and air-ups. If you need a tire mounted and installed, that's quoted at our normal published rates, and you'll hear the number before we roll.

Can my parents call in for me?

Yes, and plenty do. We'll take the details and the payment from them and still walk you through what we're doing when we get there. Bring the student ID.

Is the student rate available after hours?

Call and ask. Overnight work between 7:00 PM and 6:59 AM carries higher costs, so after-hours calls are quoted individually — but we're not going to leave a student sitting in a dark parking lot over a price. You'll always hear the number before we dispatch.
